Now that's pretty cool. Never seen a temperature indicator on a barrel before.
I have 2 barrels made by JCDoes anyone have any feed back on barrels from JC Custom barrels in New-Brunswick?
Thanks
There are a lot of great options for Canaidian made barrels now. I have used I've used 5 different makers and with the exception of one barrel they have all been good. In fact I finished 6th place in the 2017 F-Class world championship with a K.S. Arms barrel. I also fit and chamber my own barrels as a hobbiest and have installed 7 or more KS barrels for fellow F-Class shooters. They all shot world class! and this is coming from guys who typically shoot anywhere from 2-3000 rounds a year.
In addition K.S. has a strong following of PRS shooters both here in Canada and also in Europe. I think one of the top shooters there uses both KS actions and KS barrels.
Needless to say I highly recommend them over some of the other guys and for sure recommend them over buying outside of Canada. I will also be competing with a fully Canadian built rifle this year using my new KS 3 Lug action.
Regardless of how good a custom barrel shoots the thing to remember is that every barrel maker can produce a barrel that shoots lights out. The real question is how many not so good barrels do they make? Listen to the guys that wear the barrels out in a year or less if you want to know which barrel makers produce the fewest lemons. Also, keep your money here in Canada!
