Canadian barrel minufacturers or distributors

I'm looking at the possibility of swapping the barrel on a Remington 788. Is there anyone in Canada making quality replacement barrels,or do I need to look south of the border?

Ibi barrels and jc custom barrels are both making good barrels, can’t speak for is arms as I have not tried one.

Thanks for the heads up. I knew that Rob McLennan sold his equipment to Hugh Williamson and is out of the business. I was not sure about Ted. You are right about it being a shame he's stopped making barrels. I had one of his barrels spun onto an Accuracy International AWP rifle and it shot fantastic.

Just a note. I have had good barrels and bad barrels from most of the top name brands including the one from Wisconson. The last one I had from them only lasted 750 rounds from a 6.5 x 47 L before the chunks coming out of the steel got too bad and accuracy went for a crap. Canadians can make very good barrels but unfortunately for most CDN manufacturers, you must be a success in the US before CDN's will believe that CDN manufacturers are that good.
