Canadian Beretta dealer? And other questions...

Is there a Canadian Beretta dealer? I have seen a limited supply listed at Lever Arms, which are used as I understand it (I would prefer new).

Also, if a dealer carries a brand I'm interested in but they don't carry the exact model I like, can they get the exact one in?

Also, do I need my ATT to order a handgun? I should have my R-PAL by end of November.

Beretta is distributed in Canada by Stoeger. They don't sell directly to the public but any dealer can order from them. If you get in touch with a large dealer like Wolverine Supplies, I’m sure they'll be able to order whichever model you want.

But you don't need a long-term ATT to buy a restricted. All you need is your PAL. A short term ATT will be issued to allow you to take your newly purchased handgun home.

Yes I would of agreed with you 3 months ago. Here in BC we had it pretty good now things are different. The long term has to be in place and PROOF of membership. Yes it has been asked for and yes i work in gun store. Not saying it still could go through with a verbal answer.

join the club now while you wait for your RPAL (some clubs will give you the a couple months free when you join late in the year...)

that way you can buy your gun the same day you get your PAL in the mail...

Not quite, Stoeger likes to pick and choose which dealers they will supply. They deal with a handfull of major dealers in Canada and make sure none of the smaller ones can get in the game by imposing rather large yearly requirements.

Shooting Edge (among others) deals directly with Stoeger, therefore can get you whatever you may be wanting...
