Canadian championship results

I am finally home after a 3000 mile drive! I wanted to extend my thanks to the Canadian F-Class Team for an excellent match. A class group of guys as always! With all of the difficulty the South Africans had getting their equipment in order, they did very well. (Their Captain was borrowing one of my Savage 6.5-284 F-Open rifles for the weeks shooting). As Gordon said, young David will be a threat for the future.

Nice shooting to Gordon, Darin, and Matt!

To alleviate confusion, the United States F-Class Team (pictured above) consisted of:
(left to right) Steve Knutsen (Coach), Chris Ozolins (F-T/R), Bryan Otey (Adjutant), Don Nagel (F-O), Bob Bock (F-O), Larry Taite (F-O), Michelle Gallagher (Head Coach), Jim Murphy (F-O), Jeff Rorer (F-T/R), Paul Phillips (F-T/R), Dale Carpenter (F-T/R), and Darrell Buell (Captain)

Sadly, due to unforeseen circumstances, I was the only Team Savage guy there.

Good Shooting!

Darrell it's nice to hear that you got home safe and sound. I for one do *not* envy you the length of that drive, though it must have been quite nice at times. It's too bad we didn't get a chance to meet the rest of your Team Savage shooters this time, please give them my best.

Darrell,
Ditto to what Daniel said above -- glad you're home safely and it was a pleasure meeting you on the range. Next year maybe we'll order a little less humidity, and no lightning storms... :D

I suppose a little snow would be out of the question?? Lightning I can do without, some of those cloud bursts were fairly impressive though... and I come from rain country (Oregon)!!

Overall, the range was absolutely gorgeous, generally with enough wind to keep the matches from turning into a "trigger-pulling contest"... sometimes *more* than enough wind (I think I used up to 14.5 minutes at a couple of stages). :D

The DCRA week flew by way to quick. Reminds one to appreciate every day during the matches and every Annual match we're lucky enough to attend.

Great shooting by so many fine shots this year and with some challenging conditions to boot.

I'm not sure if someones already posted a link but here is the GB Teams Travel page. Some great photos with their trip to Canada starting in BC.
