Canadian edition 2012 CZ Shadow for IPSC

The local gun plumbers are doing their share...and it's no different or better. Not even close to the spirit in which the Division was intended...

Gamiest Divsion in IPSC...by a country mile.

Never mind one guy I know buys factory 9MM 115gr cartridges and claims they make major for Open and gets away with it. Bets?

Factory ammo

Sure you jest.

They put powder in factory ammo...no one in Production is using it

No different than putting more powder in and a multi chamber comp, holes etc to get less recoil and muzzle rise. The destination is the same, u just take different routes.

Well, two things to consider...

115 gr bullets are no longer legal for Opan Major (120 gr is the minimum)

and...he would be getting no comp action with those rounds...so he's just slowing himself down.

But, point taken...

No arguements...but I was answering specifically to the BS illusion that Prod exists so shooters can shoot factory ammo...

Rarely is that ever the case...

true dat. GUns are sometimes cheaper though....sometimes..;) I have not shot a whole lot of factory ammo since 2006. I remember I shot about 10,000rds of 147gr winchester white box between late 2005 and early 2006...145 PF out of my HK USP! the only time I feel manly when shooting is when shooting full power .40

It is a Production gun, just a very well built one. It meets all the rules requirements and has had nothing done to it that is outside our rule set. I fail to understand how a gun that is well built in huge numbers isn't a Production gun? Seriously are only Glock true Production guns?
As for shooting factory ammo, hate to burst your bubble but most of the people I shot with in Czech were using factory ammo for that match and a lot of them use it regularly. Factory ammo is just fine through these guns and is competitive as well.
Vince IS all over this gun thanks to someone suggesting that gun stores were the ones doing the tuning of these guns. Looks like I might be shooting Open this weekend with it.
Compared to my Stock OI its just as accurate, and a bit lighter with a much nicer trigger.

Last summer I got bumped to Open with my Shadow due to a holster being slightly too far forward, I took 4th with 80 something percent if I remember right. Not too concerned about it really. Gives me a whole new set of excuses I can use for not doing well. Lol.

Ha, you knew that we talked about mags remember?

Just saw Vince's posting on GV, this pistol is just fine for PD. Gotta say that thanks are due for his fast work on that. He confirmed that it is simply a 2012 model with special grips. Yay

i thought those mags were just cause you couldnt get the good shadow mags so you were using tanfoglio ones till you did lol

Awesome can't wait to get mine so I can be a GM too. Cause we all know shooting has nothing to with ability and everything to do with the gun. Just think how much better Bob Vogel and Ben Stoeger would be if only they shot the shadow. The spirit of the division pfft. The division was set up to get more people shooting the sport, which in turn increases the sanctioning fees, which in turn gets more money into the pockets of the higher ups. The only way you could make it an even playing field as far as the guns go, is to have guns provided for the competitors at each match, or let anything go as far as internal mods. People will always find a way to fiddle around with their guns no matter how many rules you put in place. I don't know, I might be drunk.

I'm glad we have Production Division...because all these types of complaints used to be leveled at open shooters, now we are left alone to have fun and shoot the match...lol

soooo do it like USPSA production division? that gets my vote!

Meh, having shot the #### out of this gun now, and compared to my notes with my previous guns, I think the price of this gun is well worth it. But that's me.
