Thank you for all the reply!
This is what I am doing / thinking
1. I have this .223 perfectly legal fake silencer as base.

2. I am going to pay for a machinist to do a CAD model for it : Put the thread in about 2/3 of the base where all the extended barrel just hide into the fake suppressor and widen a little bit of the original hole so the P22's barrel sleeve can fit into the fake silencer.

3. Screw it on

Did I make my self clear or I messed up english again ??

I am planning to working on this Canadian version P22 fake silencer. The idea is borrowed from fellow members here:cheers:! If this thing is come

out, it would be something you can slide and screw it to the stock barrel

tip with or with out taking off the barrel sleave. So you dont have to cut

the barrel and lose the warrenty (still has about 2' stick out even you cut

it), and is interchagebable with the original stabalizer! the price range

would be 100-150 range tops.

what do you guys think? might interesting one ?
I'm going to put it to you straight, at the risk of sounding like a d!ck: This is not a good idea.

Further, if you are making a serious proposal (I'm unsure if you are), you need to work on your English. It's barely comprehensible.

Finally, the correct symbol to denote inches is 2" not 2'.

No offense intended, you're soliciting opinions and I'm being honest :D.
Cheers

I am with scocou on this one, while it sounds like somewhat of a good idea, I am not sure I would or anyone else would buy a fake silencer off of some person who made it in their garage and can barely speak english, if you took this idea to some big company (I don't know anything about silencer or fake silencers) that would be interested in trying your idea then you may have something to work with but both for safety reasons and the fact that I wouldn't want to waste my money on a fake silencer, I dont think this idea will fly. No offense and best of luck to you:)

Thanks alot for pointed that out, I made some corrections on the original.

I am sure making a serious proposal.

If u want a fake silencer then buy a fake gun to go with it. It serves no purpose other than seemingly "looking cool" to the owner. Others will most likely see it and roll their eyes. U may find that it draws the wrong kind of attention to you as well..Hey, you do what you want as its still a free country, but be prepared to face the consequences.
Good luck

Anyway, I will do one for my self, and this will not done in my garage (I dont have one:runaway:) It will not done by a big company too, It will be done by a local gunsmith.
I just hate the stock stabilizer!:(

Mickey, despite what the resident english language critics have to say, it is not a bad idea. Personally, the $100-150 price point is a little stiff for a $450 plinker. Otherwise, don't be discouraged to pursue this a little further. Who would not like the option of a little bling for their pistol?

Thanks alot, Thats makes me feels better.

I am too thought 100-150 is a little bit more, thas why I am asking ppl's opinion here, the more people want this, the cheaper we can get from the gunsmih!

anyway, I am gonna go ahead order one first! see whats end up with!

I did not intend to discourage you, I think it is a neat idea, I personally would prefer if you could get it for other guns, I would love to have some bling on my .22 rifle (I love silencers on rifles, makes them look badass) if this is possible, then id want one:) sorry if i offended you on the language part, I just found it a little hard to read but its very good for a second language, I couldnt dream of speaking french that well lol

For someone who is so quick to jump on someone else, you may want to work on your GRAMMAR skills. A comma is not the same as a period.

I always get a good chuckle when I call somewhere like TSE or P&D to place an order, or any store out West, and they ask for the name of my gun club. Having to spell "Club de tir montreal" letter by letter. I guess growing up in the "bilingual belt" was a benefit.

mickey, si tu nous montre un photo d'un prototype, on peut faire un meilleur commentaire. si le qualite est bon, le prix n'est pas tres important.

Its a semi good idea. It would deffinetly make the p22 look nicer. but then again you look like you have a prohibited device. If it was to be one of these home invassion "inspections" say good bye to your p22 for a good while.

One thing for sure before embarking on such a business venture you should understand what makes a silencer a silencer in the law and how such a device is tested to determine if it is a silencer or not. You also need to understand how to make a device that cannot be easily converted into the real thing. As well you should seek some type of legal certification (probably from CFC) as to the classification of such a device BEFORE offering it for sale.

If people REALLY want fake silencers for their guns, that is something I'd consider doing. But I'm not sure I want to do it on a one'sies or two'sies basis. If you get together and agree on a basic size, shape and caliber then I'll do the rest of the research and design as well as seek approval from CFC.

I have the proper business licence and experience to understand what makes a silencer a silencer, how they are tested and how to make a device which couldn't be turned into a working suppressor.

These ..... are the real thing. Expatriot Sound Suppression
