Based on the previous RFP when DND tried to replace them in 2012, a manual safety was not desired. If the requirements will be the same, and I suspect they will be, it'll be a full size DAO striker fired pistol with a picatinny accessory rail and cannot be disassembled by pulling the trigger, which seems to exclude Glock. They also strongly preferred a pistol already in service with a NATO member military, which would seem to exclude the M&P. The NATO requirement might have changed though - we haven't seen an updated RFP yet.
