Canadian Gun Maker???

I have a caplock rifle here which is well made. It appears to be old but may just be someones attempt at a reproduction as the barrel has "Made in Spain" marked underneath. Makers name is G.W. Epp, Toronto. I am adding photos to show the script used and also what may be proof marks and makers logo. I did not take a full view as I have it in pieces. Does anyone recognize the maker?

Don't recognize the name, but dollars to donuts its modern.

any chance this would be some offshoot of todays' Elwood Epps? if it's marked made in spain it's definitely modern.
