Now that the Urban Tactical is bringing in the High Standard Tantal, how hard would it be to source out Krink kits in Canada?
Anyone want to import? Its always been a dream of mine to own a Krink!

hmmm, I wonder if we could import de-milled parts kits, and then rebuild a tantal with one of those. If the receiver is the legal firearm, as long as you use a tantal receiver it would be classified under the same FRT# right?

I too am a lover of the suchka and this was one of the first things I though of when I saw the reveal.

Some pics of krinks for those not in the know...

I 2nd that. This would be a fun toy to have at the range. Always wanted a full calibre pistol but never wanted to shell out the dough for the xcr pistol. This on the other hand i would love, that or a plr-16.

It actually has a folding stock it just happens to be folded in that picture. It's a carbine, not a pistol.

Additionally, the first pic isn't actually a krink, wrong gasblock/FSP, no stock, wrong barrel trunion/rear sight, and the handguard design is wrong, looks to be an american AK pistol. Perhaps that is somewhat more along the lines of what you were thinking.

A short blurb on the gun:

First came to western attention some time in the 80s, the AKS-74U (Avtomat Kalashnikova Skladnoy Ukrochenniy, Kalashnikov Automatic Rifle, Folding, Shortened) was designed to bridge the gap between rifles and SMGs providing the penetration power of a rifle in a much smaller package, and was primarily issued to special forces, paratroopers and vehicle crews. It could even be considered one of the first PDW concept weapons. It has an 8.3" 1 in 6" twist barrel and fires standard 5.45x39 7n6 rounds at approximately 24-2500FPS. It's effective range is limited to 1-200M due to it's rather poor accuracy, though the round remains effective beyond that range.

The rifle is commonly know in the west as the Krinkov, though no-one is sure where this name came from. In Russia it's known as the Ksyukha (a woman's name) the Suchka (little b#tch) or Okurok (cigarette stub).

Unfortunately (as I would love to have one myself), it would automatically be prohibited(even with a new receiver), because its an AK variant
