Canadian legal PDW-type guns that aren't short barreled AR's?

As per the title, what are the options? I know we have the FAMAE mini (which looks bada$$), but I'm loathe to be limited to five rounds. I'd love something that takes Glock 17 mags.

Any thing out there that I should be lusting after? Or should I just consider a Roni/ Hera Arms kit for my Glock? Any input is appreciated.

Well, you got to the heart of the matter. I am looking for something that recreates the real deal.

As for the Kriss... That thing is ugly as sin. It might grow on me though, I like ugly/utilitarian.

I like the kriss for looks, but I have read some reviews on it that say the recoil system is less then ideal. Its a neat concept but ultimately will make you less accurate then a standard pdw. If you want reduced recoil, just put a brake/comp on it.
 
What about the XCR pistol with the XCR 10 round pistol mags? Up your alley or no? I want a MP5 as well and might just get one of those airsoft or BB versions. Not a big bang I know but still might be fun as a legal shooter that has the look.

15 inches might not sound like a PDW, but it sure feels like one!
 
I just handled a Tavor the other day - definitely on my wish list, but not in a PDW role.

So far, I'm thinking I might just have to get a pistol conversion kit like the Hera Arms.

Don't believe everything you read......the Kris recoil system is what makes the gun so fantastic.
