Canadian Long Branch Gernade Launcher

I have the manual, but no way of scanning or posting the information.
Does your 36 have a central theaded hole in the base plug? That is where the gascheck attaches. The gas check is simply a disc with a short threaded rod projecting from its centre. The igniter set used had a longer delay than the one used for hand throwing.

Interesting stuff...would one of those rifle grenades be effective against a battle tank?? I see that's what they're being told to shoot at.

The 36M was anti personnel. The 68 was an AT grenade. With its little shaped charge, it would likely have had some degree of effectiveness against earlier tanks. Hardly in the same category as a Panzerfaust or rocket launcher. I suspect that the exerpts kindly posted by Dinsdale are from a Home Guard manual; the reference to a Northover Projector would not appear in a regular army manual, I wouldn't think.

The No68 was the 1st shaped charge AT used in combat.
They had them in the Battle of France.
They used them right up to Italy.

~50 mm was max penetration. Early models had issues at angles greater than 20 Degrees off .

The scans I posted are from the following.
