Can anyone help me with some custom barrel makers in canada? i am buliding a new toy and am planning on putting a Bartlein Barrel on, but would consider buying canadian if there is barrels of equal quality built hear at home.

There is a fellow some place named McLennan that makes barrels in Canada. FS
 
RKS barrels

Ron Smith makes great cut rifled barrels to your specs......
also gain twist that are working great on many hunting and target guns...
great guy to boot.... Hundreds of american shooters get his barrels each year..
Ive got a dozen and have installed about 40 for others and never had a bad one

either chrome moly or stainess.....

I've got a Gaillard barrel on my 25-06 and a RKS on my 300WM. Haven't shot the 25-06 enough to comment on it, btu I know that Ted makes superb barrels. Ron Smith makes great barrels too, else guys like ATRS wouldn't use them.

If you want a Canadian made 30 cal, you want a Mick McPhee. He makes cut rifled 30's as good as any in the world, and he ONLY makes 30's

He is a fanatical perfectionist however, and will not simply sell you the barrel. He must be the one who installs it to make sure it is done properly... all part of his obsession to make sure things are done right.

Here is some info on him, and contact me if you want his number. I do not sell his barrels, I merely refer people because his are as good as the best of any you will find.
