Sorry, it is great that you made up a little 'holder' for your pistol.
But a stock does 'not' a carbine make.

You could have attached the forward grip to the pistol and put on one of those stocks already available for glocks.

It would be really cool if you could skeletonize the device by routing out or something. Great work though - I wish I could build something like that! Builid one like the Magpul, add a little combination locking mechanism and integrated mechanical trigger lock and you'd be good to go. LOL!

I own that first stock, and it's not very good. It helps but the build quality is not very sturdy. The length of pull on it is way to short, even in the fully extended position.
The design that enfield is working on would be much more stable and achieve the same size, it would allow for a better grouping.
 
Good job Enfield. Don't let the haters get you down. Excellent prototype. If I see correctly, the slide is still attached? Do you have to alter the pistol in any way to operate it?

How do you operate the charging handle without marring the slide?



Also, I'd like to see some accuracy testing. I'd be very interested to see how accurate this thing could be. I'd assume accuracy would be OK, since the sights are not attached to the slide it may not be as accurate as, say a mech tech.

I'll be watching this thread! Great work!

Totally agreed Clobb X2 never let people tell you where it's at & just remember feedback is a helpfull tool but if you like it you can bet someone else will!!!!
 
As the design progresses I’ll put up more pictures and add a video. I’ve been working on this for several months and I expect it will take a couple of more to perfect the design. Maybe I’ll take some pictures at the rang tomorrow. As for the cheek piece not being user friendly I'm working on that and the new design is in math. ! I’ll keep you all posted!
 
The slid is attached and the gun is not altered in anyway. It simply slides into an internal rail and a clamping device locks it from the bottom. Then a new longer pin goes through the GLOCK body. As for how it charges the gun that is my little secret. But the gun is not damaged or altered in any way. There are something like 15 machined and 4 laser cut components not including pins, screws and springs. So it’s not as simple as the pictures have you believe.

I have this on my "to do" list, but there's 2 other big projects ahead of it right now.

Any plans of making a short video of your prototype at a range?
 
I am currently work as a quality process engineer for a large automotive assembly plant and I don’t have a tool room! I have an acquaintance from school which owns a machine shop with a CNC mill and I found a company that laser cuts. It would be possible to machine the side plates but for the time and effort it’s faster to laser them. Right now the side plates are out of steel but for the finished product everything will be aluminum.
 
Glock

I think it's an awesome prototype, and nobody gets perfection on the first try. If you could make it an underfolder that encloses a stubby grip, maybe even a folding grip, you'd have an undisputable winner. You perfect that, polish and coat and I'd drop $500 on it for uniqueness alone. Take the haters as constructive criticism. You could make it wicked cool and revolutionary and and charge 5 bucks for it and some folks would still say "why did you buy a pistol if you wanted a carbine!". I say Bravo.
