I'm no fan of modding classic military firearms, but this mod actually has so many improvements over the stock version of the SKS that it's actually worth it. If you lived in Russia in 1945, they would've picked your pattern over Simonov's, lol! It's rare for amateur basement gunsmiths to actually improve on mainstream designs like that, but you did it. :)
