I am trying to figure out who all manufactures rifle actions in Canada. I am also trying to see who will sell them for custom builds without them having to do the build themselves.

These are the ones I know of:

Prairie Gun Works (PGW) - Will sell
ATRS - Will not sell
Cadex - TBD
Fierce - TBD
Corlanes (Rocky Mountain Rifles) - Made by Defiance (U.S.)
Tac-Ord - Made by Defiance (U.S.)

Is there anyone else out there?

For the Fierce, call at 1 418-449-4141 ext. 218 and talk directly to Hugues Vaillancourt, he is the owner, and he offers actions

Thanks. I have been in email contact with John Mogle over their. He was pretty helpful. Pricing was decent, but it also sounded like for someone to use them for builds you would have to buy 5 minimum. The pricing wasn't bad, but it it a controlled round feed which may be a drawback for more competitive type shooting. They have also never tried to run any type of detachable bottom metal with them.

Details of his action? Specs, etc?

This is what he sent me for specs, but it sounds like he can do some more one off type stuff. Maybe he will post up in here with some more info.

- 15-5 Heat treated Stainless receiver (rem style 2-lug), Melonite QPQ treated to surface hardness of ~65 Rc
- Wire EDM'ed bolt race
- Integral rail & lug (pondering a change back to bolt on rail for cost savings and changing rail MOA)
- 4340 1-piece bolt (made by PTG, next evolution is to make them here)
- Rem 700 SA and LA footprint/trigger
- Currently only RH port/RH bolt, can be changed

I will leave the pricing out. If Rich wishes that posted, I will let him post it.

Hi,

I thought I would bump this thread since the last post was nearly 10 years ago.

I tried using the search function to find a list somewhere, but no luck!

I think it would be useful to have this list somewhere for everyone. Personally, I am looking to assemble and all-canadian rifle. I already have a Tangent Theta scope, and I hear good things about the MDT HNT26. Actions and triggers are not so straightforward for me. Cadex comes up a lot at the range, since we're standing 20 minutes from the Cadex building, but I would like to know what else is out there in term of high-quality options.

Thank you
