Can anyone ID this stamp? I am not sure but believe it may be a stamp used on Guns that the Canadian Government borrowed from the public during WWI or WWII

That is CA, for Canadian Arsenals, the company that took over after they eliminated the Long Branch arsenals name post WWII.
Out of curiousity, could we see the rest of the rifle? What is it?
Looks like the stock was shattered and glued back together? Love to see a set of pics of whatever it is.
What you see is all there was, just a pc of wood with the mark.
