Note that the Northern rangers are made up of the Inuit Indian nations and are equipped wit the Lee Enfield No4 Mk1* rifle and they shoot Winchester 180 grain soft points.

The Northern Rangers support the Canadian Army in the North on maneuvers and the Army in one documentary I saw on TV showed a three day trip with the army and getting stuck out in the arctic wasts hunkered down in a blinding blizzard for afew days food running low.

The Northern rangers supply soverienty patrols for the Canadian territories and in the past five years have spotted unidentified submarines anchored in deep fjords in Canadas North the design apparently seemed to be Russian.

As the Russians became aware that they were being observed headed out and submerging as fast as possible what they were doing on canadian soil has never been found out.

One report said that a ranger put a few shots from the Lee Enfield toward the supposed Russian submarine and again they buggered off as fast as possible. Of course the government downplayed that report but the Rangers interviewed said that they did fire a few shots as warnings to F off.

There is an article on this in a magazine I just finished reading.
