Canada got Snider Mark Is; they were altered to Mark I* when the rim of the cartridge was changed. Likely Canada is the only place you will find a Mark I Snider. Me, I'm still looking!!!

John Sukey, you're a lucky guy! My Dad stood guard with one of those at Brandon Airport before the airport was built...... they had 3 guys in the detachment and 3 RCAF-marked M-'17s, all built by Eddystone (they were termed "Eddystone Rifles" to many in the RCAF), and they had to stand outside in 30 below in case Hitler decided to attack the airport where nothing existed. Oh, well....... WISH I could find one of those, too.
