Canadian nationals

shooting and working schedule probably won't be announced till a lot closer to the match. it is a lot of work to schedule 300 shooters. you are best on planning to be there work 2 days and shoot 2 days. if you get lucky and get a day off then so be it.

personally i hope it is a 2/2 cause i find with the 2/1 a lot of people do not show up for their work day and you end working by yourself. i worked one nationals where me and cathy were the only people there to run two stages. thank god the shooters chipped in to help with the taping and a couple of people who were on their day off volunteered to help us!
 
I thought it would be split up; Work/shoot/work/shoot. better for shooters from far away I would assume??

Normally that is how it is done. You work a day and shot a day or vice versa. However, if a match has big squads, the Match Director sometimes gives half of the squad one day off and you only have to work one day.
 
just as long as I don't have to work two days in a row. I am going up with NB teams. Some staying in hotel, some in Campground.

if so how come?
its just that its 3 months from now and i,m sure there will be more shooters then the match can fit in so anyone that back out, the spot will be filled asap

2006 IPSC Nationals - Payee Name?

Can anybody advise to whom the cheque should be made payable? The entry form says credit card payments will be done by Wolf Bullets, but paper applications are to be sent to R U Ready, and the Frontenac club is hosting the match....

you always prepay for matches, otherwise people do back out, and screw up the squads and prep lists.
 
Well if people don't pay up front who is going to pay for the building of props, trophies, deposits for meals etc? Just based on the $195 match fee this would represent about $50,000. Are Wolf and Jack supposed to front all of that money out of their own pocket? Unless you have worked a national you have no ideal what it costs to put one on. And don't think that because there is that kind of money floating around that someone is making money out of it. If you are lucky when you host a nationals you brake even and you leave a legacy for the host club.
 
I'll send mine in after I shoot some qualifiers. I haven't shot qualifiers since may of last year. You have until June 30th.

The stats crew will pull the latest classes from the internet just before the match. I would not wait too long.
Nationals in biggest IPSC section + 2005 Ontario provincials a success + close proximity to Quebec + lots of air options from around the country = this sucker will fill fast.

Because most provinces send up teams (open, standard, production), would enough spaces be set aside to accomodate each province? Not sure how this works, just curious if you are on a provincial team that you might be guaranteed a spot when you send in your registration??
 
Don't know but we are in the match already via fax and we have our room book for a couple months now ;)

The only unknow is from were I will depart for the match and how I will travel depending of were I'm in Canada at the time :)

Slots are held for provincial teams until the late pay deadline, (or the province gives thier team member list to the MD) But only teams. At that date, any non-paid for slots are opened up to everyone (or possibly, in this year's case - the wait list)

If you think you're on a team - you have some flexibility - if you're not sure, check, because everyone else is every man for himself. That's why we made a major effort to ensure every IPSC Canada member has the chance to enter now.

Fill in your class now. It can be changed later.
