Canadian retailer for Superior Concepts

Hey guys I know this isn't really ON topic but... How are these charging handles?

I'm looking for something really smooth to cycle. Is this the one for me?

These handles are good... but most are... we have and use Kidd, RT, SC, VQ and DIY... they all work smoothly... the rod and spring are more important IMO... we use KIDD rods and springs exclusively... they are VERY smooth.

I've got the Superior Concepts charging handle and love it. I can only compare to the stock one, but I am certainly very happy with it and don't feel the need for anything else.

OK so this might be a silly question but do kidd rods have a hole in the end of them? For a paperclip or something or how does the handle stay on the rod during assembly and disassembly? I know the rod and springs can be had cheap and I don't really have a problem with the stock handle....

The retention for the Kidd handle comes from the bolt. It is not directly "secured" to the guide rod, just floats on it. Check out the Kidd website for the charging handle install video and you'll see what I mean.

The handle comes off the Kidd rod if you take the bolt out and remove the guide rod from the receiver. If you want to attach the Kidd handle to a stock rod or a stock handle to a Kidd rod you need to break the retention clamp on the stock handle and remove it from the stock rod. The retention clamp isn't actually necessary but makes it a little easier to work on and keeps the three parts (rod, spring and handle) together when disassembled.
