Need some quality rings for my build would love to support local Canadian manufacturers.

Thinking of either MDT premier or ATRS rings knowing ATRS are great rings but anybody has experience for MDT?

Near has the best quality, I love his stuff. MDT has nice stuff i just got a set of there rings. ATRS is good too but i don't own any of there rings.

Between the two, I've had ATRS rings and I know they make top notch stuff, and if MDTs rings are as good as their chassis, I don't think you have anything to worry about there.

That being said, I gotta go with Near. I have two of his mounts, they just ooze quality and craftsmanship.

Basically I am looking for some quality rings that machine correctly (dimension wise and true to the rail) for a secure mounting without overly stressing or marred the scope.

Want something solid, durable and can take abuse without breaking the bank lol.

You definitely want Near. I fly with my rifle I take the scope off put in my cart on. When I retork them at the range they are always within 1/8 moa of my zero.

I'm using a set of MDT Elite rings on my 300 Win. They are 1.25" in height and made for a 34mm Scope. What size are you looking for? The MDT are really nice quality rings but they are expensive at $209.00. I had a set of Burris Extreme Tactical Rings which were nice as well and made of steel but unfortunately they were a bit too high at 1.50". If you're looking for that size I'll give you a heck of a deal on them.

I couldn't get Richard Near to give me the time of day when I called him with my Visa in hand. "I'm too busy, just go on the website" we're his exact words. I called ATRS, said please and talked to Rick immediately. Voila, custom sloped base.

So ATRS, every day for me.
