Canadian sage like stock @ Milarm!!!!

My understanding is the butt and grip are NOT included. It is fairly well made, but the forend could have been tapered a bit to cut weight. IMO it is too heavy for CQB... it would be like CQB with a C9. I was going to get this stock but picked this up instead:

Happened to be in Milarm the morning that it arrived. It was less than half the price of the sage lookalike and half the weight, plus the butt can be raised to alow a proper cheek weld for a scope. For what I wanted my shorty to be used for this was a better choice. The Vltor stock is lighter than a USGI and quick handling. I only wish it had a bottom rail for a vert grip. All said though, the Canadian copy is well made and a good alternative to the Sage. But it will be damn cumbersome once you start hanging stuff on it.

If it doesn't come with the stock and foregrip, and still costs $850 ($925 delivered), I'll pass. I really don't see any advantages over my G.I glass at that price.

It kind of blows the whole M14, dirt cheap but works great, concept out of the water for me.

Cool idea though. Too bad about the price.

Just spent the last half hour looking up info on the Vltor stock. I like it.
Skooch, how much did you pay for that stock?

I got a smokin deal because of all the money I spend there. I think they are in the $450 range.

What I've gotten from them so far by email is:

1) the alloy used in the manufacture, from appearances I would suspect a 70 series alloy, possibly 7076
2) Weight is approx. 3 pounds
3) The Op- rod guide is replaced by a more substantial block, but you
can use the existing block should you choose to.
4) Cost delivered will be $922.20 to your door. (this would be to SW Ont).

I've sent another email about what is included (buttstock, fwd handgrip, etc). Probably have to wait til Tuesday for a reply. From all outward and inward (oprod block) appearances, it is very similar to the SAGE. In discussion with SAGE's sales rep, it would cost me about the same thing to pick up at the factory in Michigan, for their version, after $ conversion and tax.

Further to my last:

Does it come as pictured, with the AR buttstock and forward handgrip?

Answer - "GRIP/BIPOD $200; BUTT STOCK $80."

You're decision. Cool toy, no doubt, but I don't expect the total breakdown of society where I, as a regular guy, need to spend this kind of money on a M14 ( of any brand). If the apocolypes comes, and I have to defend my famiy, I'll be better equipped than an M14 with this hardware.....at this price.

you have to buy the buttstock, hand grip and and the tripod grip on the handgaurd i seen them on jan 5 07 and the buttstock sucks cheap $ 140.00 so i would put a vltor is one that fits well on this hopes this helps other wise it a well maid stock monkey

akm m-14 tactical stock

AKMm14 tacktical stock this is the name for this stock at millarm they are made by someone in saskatchewan can anyone find out were they wont tell me anyting. could possibly or der one from the maker cheaper but cant find out who he is if he has a website or company name i always try to deal with local manufactures in canada like dlask in van phone him up and order what you want made.
