I remember these being sold in the '80s. Had one through the shop. Basically an economy .22 revolver fitted with a long barrel, and a buttstock. The screws attaching the stock unit were Allen heads with the hex sockets drilled out.

Never seen one in 20 years of collecting 22 rimfire's, very cool tool! Would love to have it for camp to entertain the kids and there parents, good luck on finding a good home for it, Dale Z!

Now that is just cool. Probably fairly useless, I certainly wouldn't want my face up close to the action if it's anything like other revolvers, but very cool.

I'd love to have one of those in my collection.

I believe they were mail order from S.I.R. (out of Winnipeg) in the mid 80's.

A quick bit of research online tells me they may have initially been sold for about $250. Seems a little high to me, but they are a unique item, and you do pay for things like that. Also, it seems they might have been available in both 22lr and 22Mag.

No idea at all what it would be worth now, but I'd certainly be willing to pay the original $250 sticker price for it.

A friend of mine has one, with both 22lr and 22WMR cylinders. Locks up tight, I find it not so accurate. Neither one of us are sure who made it, but I did see an "HS" inside an emblem on the cylinder. So I am guessing perhaps High Standard? Anyone out there know?

Very nice! I've always wondered how rare these were, since I never seem to see them mentioned here. I've got an old S.I.R. catalogue from 1988-89 that my father gave me after he found it while doing some cleaning a few years back, and it had these listed. Not much good for finding out current pricing, but still a neat find anyways. Here's a scan of the page:

tiriaq, thanks for that, I forgot about Herbert Schmidt. ill let him know. There were no proof marks that I could see, but it was a little foggy. If anyone needs a buttstock for one of these, I think I may know where I could locate one
