There is not a single Fish Trawler in South African waters that doesn't have a rusted old single barrel 12g shotgun on board. I talked to a fisherman in a gunshop about a year ago. He wanted to buy a recoil pad, because his shoulder was hurting from shooting 18 seals around the boat.:50cal:
 
I like "22 Minutes"on Tuesday night interveiwing the parliament restaurant patrons on eating seal meat and suggesting people call them "Ice Rats" instead of baby seals claiming there would be a lot less controversy on the hunt issue..........Priceless!

Not quite, comming from a Newf it tastes really fishy, and the meat is black and stringy, almost like bear.

I obv support the hunt. Hope to crack some seal skulls in the the next few years. Too bad were not allowed to use the tried and trusted ol' Louisville Slugger anymore...####ing Liberals
 
8 people say no but not one of them has said why. Just curious of their opinions. If I was against it, I probably wouldn't weigh in either because of how quick people are to attack.
 
I really like seal flipper pie, a traditional dish in Newfoundland, and occasionally served at the old Crows Nest in St Johns. mmmm

I would like to hear their reasoning for their position, and whether they can actually provide a foundation for that position that is based on fact.

The typical reasons:

They're endangered-- no they're not

You kill them with clubs _ No we don't (anymore, though it was humane)

You kill white coats - no we don't

You skin them alive- no we don't

and on and on and on... until finally the truth...

They look cute...
yup,..so does necrotizing fasciitis until it's eating your leg..

Put your flipper in club soda for a good two hours or longer...;)
 
Paul McCartney was out there supporting the stopping of seal hunts with a hippy organization but the actual goal was to follow hunters around on the ice for imagery to sell to the public. They even dragged a dying seal out of the water that was injured by a hunter error four times to record footage that they used to make an award winning documentary. When asked why they did this the organizer stated that they wanted to help the seal get medical treatment. Must have been less important than watching the animal suffer as they recorded it for almost an hour before leaving it on the ice and flying off to drink imported beer. Once they had their footage they left but not before using several helicopters and personal jets that burned over 20, 000 barrels of aviation fuel threatening the habitat the seals need to exist.

Also, these animal flakes still use the white coat pups in their ad campaigns which has been stopped for more than a decade. Their main goal is to collect money from University students to stop the unnecessary killing of animals while they eat burgers and steaks at their BBQ's. After seeing this I will never give money to an animal organization again as they are all all completely FOS and use your money to travel the world complaining about things they are too sheltered from to understand. They would never survive without people who kill animals for them but they are to stupid to realize it.

Next time they call for donations tell them you need some money to feed local stray cats and then use the cash to buy imported beer as they are doing the same thing with your money. Even beat one with a bat and make a documentary of the cat dieing showing how widespread the problem is and then go buy a new Audi that runs on animal souls.
