It shouldn't matter too much that it was installed backwards but it can reduce the life of the buffer.
As for finding them, only place I've been able to source them is in CZ at the factory.

Let's see what Slavex thinks but for my money, the Tanfoglio chromed mags are best. The black Tanfoglio mags are good as well but seem to get scratched up more easily (or at least the scratches are more visible).

Hate the way the CZ mag base-plates have that little locking pimple that never seems to want to get into the hole in the base-plate. Takes me as long to clean 5 Tanfoglio mags than to re-assemble 1 CZ mag.
 
CZ75 mags are a pain to reassemble.

Mec Gars are now available in Canada. They are same as the Tanfo mags with a different base and follower color.
 
The new Mecgar mags are far far better than the Tanfo ones. Better job pinning, better feed lip design and so on. I've also got some pinned 17 rounders for sale, black and chromed, but they ain't cheap.
The other nice thing about the new Mecgar mags is you can also install the +2 baseplate from Mecgar, without changing the capacity of the mag (due to how they are pinned at the factory), which makes them easier to handle for speed reloads etc.

I've found a couple retailers that carry CZ and Tanfo mags, any suggestions on where to look for the Mecgar ones?

My pistol is in the mail and on it's way to me :)

Reliable has them. I know that they did last week.
I've also talked to the importer of the mags and they will be bringing in the +2 baseplates for them shortly
 
Has anyone tried to use IWI Jerico or baby eagle mags in these pistols? I've seen a couple sites that list them as interchangeable? Just looking for some lower cost alternatives :)
