I'm realizing that I need a couple of wind flags for the kind of bench shooting I've been doing lately--short-range benchrest shooting with a couple of 6 PPCs. I tried searching on "wind flags" on several subforums under Equipment Exchange, and got nothing.

So who is a good source in Canada for wind flags--ideally at an affordable price?

Likely best to make your own - or find someone with a sewing machine. Size and material types matter (nylon vs cotton for instance).

kilough shooting supplies down stateside......now that the dollar is bouncing back it's time to support our southern neighbors again.....

sadly there is no source for wind flags in canada.....

Does flagging ribbon work or does this need to be something special I believe the flagging ribbon is about five dollars for a 25 meter roll, probably cheaper at a dollar store somewhere.

$10 for 100 is affordable, red and orange.

Or $2 for 10 Irrigation flags (with some modification):

I keep forgetting to shoot video.......ribbons are only half of the equation, the big fins on the wind flags are a better indication to direction

What is with the multiple solid fences? When it comes time to pull/paste targets is it a big steeple chase or a race over "hurdles"?[/QUOTE]

guys can hide behind them and change their targets while people are still shooting, we stop for nothing when it comes to shooting small groups, just have to make sure you only stand up infront of your own target

So you are downrange when the range is hot? I assume the fences are filled with sand or some other bullet proof material?
