Canadian Source for Affordable Wind Flags

I use yellow caution tape and think it works good. I also got a couple of colorful wind socks off of ebay for 3 bucks each that I havent tried out yet though.

I'm completely in the dark about this. I was hoping a Canadian source for wind flags existed, but if there's some reason not to use such a source, I'll go stateside. I did eventually find the banned (?) site, and everything seemed legit, but I obviously don't know the backstory. Can someone explain?

I believe the fences are baffles to keep people from being able to shoot the range floor. Im assuming the range floor is hard enough that the cfo was concerned about ricochet ? I could be wrong though.

Partly right.....with the elevated firing point and the proximity to urbania, the CFO stipulated the use of ground baffles .

I was thinking you could make them out of surveyors tape or trail marking tape. Just add one of those shoe lace grommets to one end and cut it as long as you want.

Any stick with a nail in the top would let it spin.

Maybe a few washers under the ribbon to keep it moving freely.

I'm realizing that I need a couple of wind flags for the kind of bench shooting I've been doing lately--short-range benchrest shooting with a couple of 6 PPCs. I tried searching on "wind flags" on several subforums under Equipment Exchange, and got nothing.

So who is a good source in Canada for wind flags--ideally at an affordable price?

If your interested in sbr you will want good wind flags . Smileys or Rick grahams are the most popular and are both US manufactures , if you wish to make your own, go to Benchrest.ca and you will get lots of help , you may even find a used or new set for sale . Proper flags from coroplast are easy to make and the daisies can be found on line ,
Hope that is of some help
