Hello Canadian Firearms Enthusiasts,
Trigger Wholesale (The Distributor for High Standard, Interarms, AMT, Etc) will confirm that we are working on what will be called the "Canadian Sporter Rifle Series". That said, please understand that these projects have shifting dates as we navigate through the labyrinth of parts manufacturing, production, export licensing, etc. For those interested in details, you are welcome to follow us on Facebook (Trigger Wholesale) or visit our website (www.triggerwholesale.com) for official details, photos and specifications as we release them. Due to the many moving parts, we are not giving an official date or statement beyond this notification other than to confirm these details:
-The rifle is NOT an AK or AK Variant.
-The rifle will NOT be branded High Standard (They will be branded "Interarms").
-Pricing will be confirmed when the guns are ready to be sold. MSRP's will be posted on our website (Like all of our products).
-Once ready, the rifles will be sold through our network of Dealers across Canada.

We recognize that there is great excitement and anticipation for this product but we do not want to "jump the gun" and get people overly excited about a gun that is not currently available for sale at this time. We will be sure to update everyone on CanadianGunNutz.com as more details become available.

Sincerely,

Trigger Wholesale

Really?

The draw of these guns to me is the bigger badder bullet.

7.62x39 is a fine round, but I already have three rifles in that calibre (CZ 858, SKS, VZ 52/57), and besides, I would rather have something that is like an AK 74 with the smaller round, like what the Tantal was originally designed for.

I just found out about this!

####. Urban Tacticals FB page is seriously pissing me off. First they have this secret overnight prebuy list which is sketchy as ####, then they keep deleting their posts and the comments. Like seriously, this #### is amateur at best. You can't bring a new rifle on the market and not expect people to go crazy with excitment and want more details. Dont post pictures and start a stupid unannounced pre buy if you can't handle the volume of interest.

Edit: Also, it being in 7.62x39 instead of 5.45x39 is pretty ####ing dumb too.

Edit Edit: Yes I say #### a lot, deal with it. The auto filter does.

Yup, it's always best to be as forthcoming when releasing product information. I don't have facebook, and the UT website didn't have anything on the rifle when I checked previously, which made me wonder if I even had the right business/website.

Question: I did look at the Interarms/High Standard sites. Some of their rifles have side rail mounts for scope mounting, while others do not. Does anyone know if the "canadian Sporting Rifle" has a side rail or not? It would be a major bonus if they had them, or can add them before formal introduction here.

Well, close to. A real AK47 would hit the spot :) but this is still blow in your pants worthy!

Yup. I think I did that 7 times since yesterday too.

From what my research has shown the ones in the states have chromed bores not that it really matters to us canadians as we only shoot semi and 5 rounds in a go. AK furniture works with it EXCEPT the top handguard is of a different design then an AK.
Not too sure but I think the tapco trigger will work on it. Ill probably get one and test it out once the rifles are in my hands

I just PMd them on here to get on the list. I will probably get wood stock, but curious to see what the synthetic looks like.

Looking forward to their own pics too.
