Yes I am aware of the type 81, but what about this canadian sporter rifle that is supposed to be tantalizing?

Well its not a tantal, all we know is its a rifle that takes ak magazines and apparently accepts ak furniture. How the gun functions, reliablity, cosmetically, quality ect. are all unknown at the time.

I think we are suppose to get proper details sometime this week so, I'm hoping for the best.

I just don't much like the idea of gun "clones" they are generally unreliable, poorly designed and have cosmetic features that have no relation to actual functionality.

Actually, no one said it wasn't a tantal.
What was officially said by the distributor is that it is not an AK or variant.
Knowing this, and the fact the the name by which it is marketed by is very important and the reason why its called the canadian sporting rifle, there is still a chance 1+1 =2.

could be worse I can't even get on a pre-order list at this point and I was on the first order sight unseen I made the stupid mistake of asking 7.62 or 5.45 didn't hear back....
unless Urban tactical review's their pre-order list and says ohh shoot we forgot that PM from 250rg... fingers crossed.. review the tape...

How many times you gonna say that in hopes of UT seeing it??????

It may work!!!!!!

Stop thinking so negative dude, your killing my buzz

It's still a tantalizing thought..

sorry I couldn't help myself..

ok thats enough puns out of you! >:[

i'm still very excited for this regardless of what it is, at the very it'll scare the antis around me that something that looks so horrifying made it onto the shelves.

You kinda need to know what it the rifle is, to say it is over rated hahaha.

From what the leaks suggest it will look like an ak, be about the same weight as an ak, probably have some slight differences to an ak that's probably trivial, and do nothing better than a cz858 for more money. And since it looks like ak it will sell by the boatloads. OR the rcmp will drop the banhammer on it on the last moment, and it will be joining the ever growing list of prohibs.

Again, as stated by the importer Trigger Wholesale, most info that has been leaked is incorrect.

Given that nothing is known about the rifle other than what mags it takes, and the furniture it wears, we know nothing for sure.

Until we see a picture from TW, we are speculating about speculation.

All I can tell is that we are getting another rifle that does exactly what the cz already does, so really not sure what the fuss is all about. Who is bringing in parts for this rifle? Why is there no frt number for it yet? If it's different from an ak does that mean it wont accept ak bolts or gas piston bits?<(meaning propietary #### that god knows who would stock and where you would find replacement, when it breaks.), and while we are on the topic of mags, who currently actively stocks ak mags?

If it's a long stroke setup, it will almost certainly be heavier than the cz.

You guys are getting down on this for no reason. Nothing has changed since the thread in General. The info has been dialed back so that the distributor can make a proper, official announcement. Nothing has been confirmed or denied, but I am sure the original info still stands as accurate.

Have no fears.

Also, protip: You can't get on a preorder list with a CGN handle. That's like putting Santa Clause on the list.

If what I heard from a gun shop is true, we might not have the CZ forever. The CSA's are supposed to stay though.
Either way, the fuss is about us having more choice. And to be honest, the more firearms we can buy the better.

I'm not jumping all over this either. I got registered for a pre-order just in case, but I want to see the facts before I truly commit.

Ya aleast call the store and give them your real name and contact info. I drove 1.5 hours to the store on Thusday afternoon to be sure I got on the contact list. While I was there it looked like the big rush had not yet started.

What did you hear? If its rumors of reclassification, I don't even want to know. But if it has to do with manufacturing and availability of the rifle, I'm interested.
