Mark your calendars! The Canadian steel championship is coming to Brandon Manitoba on June 4th. This match will consist of 13-15 all steel stages in the style of Tuesday Night Steel and steel field courses. There may also be some PAR time stages.

You can expect texas stars, many poppers, A zones, plate racks, ground steel and lots of static steel as well. Nothing is more fun than an ALL STEEL match

As long as you are holster certified (IPSC, IDPA etc), you can shoot the match

Gtg, I'll get a crew together from the shop. Shot a steel match in Brandon last year I think it was and it was great.

Is there a specific rule book that you use?

No. It's pretty simple:

Only two divisions: Iron sights (no compensators, optics etc) and Open (compensators, optics, lasers etc)
No power factor recognized but steel MUST FALL to score (no calibration calls)
Your score on the stage is your actual raw time + penalties
Overall match winners are lowest cumulative times
You must be holster certified through IPSC or IDPA.
You must want to have fun. No whiners!

Nope. Just remember steel must fall to score so if you load mouse farts and stuff doesn't fall, you have to live with it There will be no calibration requests.

And if your 95gr @ 2000 fps bullet goes through the steel without knocking it over, that also doesn't count as a hit.

On a side note, if your ammunition is ruled as dangerous (metal core, etc), you would be removed from the match.
