So I was speaking with the manager of a local Canadian Tire and found out that 3 Canadian tire stores in the Saint John, New Brunswick area will have full hunting pro shops with guns and all by deer season 2013. Just a heads up. I think this is great news and a positive for gun owners in the general publics eyes. Maybe if the general public see firearms more often they won't think all firearms owners are crazed killers. There prices on what I have seen are the lowest in the province by far too. Anybody else have this happening in there area.

Fredericton South Side has really gotten into it, SKS, pistol ammo and lots more. What a change from a few years ago when they only had pellet guns.

Last year in North Bay, ON they started to carry quite a few guns. They probably have over 50 in there cabinet. Its still the last place I'd buy a gun. They also started to sell milk and eggs last year. i saw a few weeks ago they were selling the fridges that housed all this produce. I guess tires and milk don't mix

I'd look past that if they had them local

I was not impressed with the new CT store in Yorkton SK the last time I was in there. You can buy a few different rifles, some scopes and ammo but they did not have one set of scope rings or mounts. If you wanted to buy a rifle that came without a scope you would have to find a different store to be able to mount any optics. I also bought a couple cheap trail cams to mount where there is a possibility of them being stolen. They were advertised in one of their flyers and the computer told them they had 24 in stock but they were in the old store. They gave me a rain check and I had my daughter stop and check every 2 weeks. It took them 10 weeks to go the 2 blocks to bring them to the new store.

No rifles in my local CT store yet but are starting to carry more diverse ammo. This week was the first time I ever saw the 270wsm supreme elite shells I use for deer.

Nothing aat my ct in Edmonton. 2 measly boxes of 308. Pellet guns for 50% more than a good sks. Etc. the young lady did seem pleasant when pointing out their selection.

Here in Prince George, BC The Canadian tire is carrying double or more ammo(supreme ammo included)then they were a year ago. Also showing some Leupold scopes, no rifles yet.

They opened up an entire isle dedicated to rifles in Cold Lake for about a year now. Prices are decent, but knowledge of firearms from staff, well the shelf where the guns are resting could tell you more than the staff. Know what you want to buy.

Guns being sold in Canadian Tires is GREAT...makes them more "common" and seen by many, many people. We need this, guns need to be proven that they are "okay" to own!!!

West side Saint John CT is already stocking firearms as of a couple of weeks ago or so. :D

This is a happy day :) They even stock Hornady superformance ammo. I gotta stop by the west side and check it out soon.
