To my surprise I was in Parry Sound Canadian Tire last weekend and saw they had an aluminum boat on display in the Sports Section.
As I got closer, the boat was standing on its stern with it's bow pointing in the air with black bars across the beam.
When I looked in, I noticed it was a giant gun cabinet with rifles in it!!
At first I thought they were pellet and paint ball rifles, but as I looked harder they had a Marlin lever action 30/30, a Ruger 10/22, a couple Mossberg .22's a Remington .270 and few others.
Holy Mother Of Mary!!
I walked to the firearms isle and they had even more in the glass display case!!!
WOW...it's really nice to see the good old days coming back. :canadaFlag: w:h:

Its store specific
If its a franchise owner who is pro-gun then they will stock them

Good luck finding any Toronto stores with rifles :(
Only overpriced ammo

We have one in Windsor carrying them now. I was told the others will as soon as they get enough employees through the PAL course.

toronto stores stock neither guns nor ammo. Curious to me they sell airsoft which is designed to get you indoctrinated to shoot at other human beings. I personally won't have it in my house.

When I bought a rifle and some ammo at the CT in South Calgary last year, the fellow at the gun counter mentioned that more stores across Canada would be getting back into firearms retail in the next couple of years.

Good to hear that it's true. When I was a boy, every CT store that I remember had a gun counter. Their fall catalogue had guns in it as well.

The Canadian Tire in Campbelton, NB has about 100 guns in stock. They also carry reloading stuff and a ton of ammo. I think it's great because having guns in a big box store gets them back in the public eye. Mom and Pop gun shops are great but only gun owners generally go to these stores. Having guns in a Canadian Tire shows Soccer Moms and other antis that guns are hear to stay in Canada!

All CT stores are redoing their sporting sections according to the manager at my local store. Going back to the old ways!
Thats what she told me in December any way.

Just bought a Benelli Nova from the CTC on Bayfield in Barrie. The sporting area manager promised to order any gun I want and match or beat Epps pricing. The nova was considerably cheaper then the price on Epp's site (thus I bought it). Also bought a spare mag (in stock!) for my wifes model 93. Also bought a considerable amount of ammo (hornady and CCI) in 22 wrm because they gave us 15% off all ammo if we bought a gun there.
