So today I make a stop at my local canadian tire, to pick up some bulk thunderbolts for use in my 10/22, so i grab a case of 500, walk up to the counter they ring it in and it comes up as, $3.50, that's right, three dollars and fifty cents for 500 .22s!! Needless to say i bought all them, and go to check the blazers, and lo and behold, they're $2.99 for 500. So i bought them all too. God bless Can tire!

hmmmm.....

makes you wonder if CT is getting out of the ammo biznass??

Especially considering a few other threads around here regarding the ammo policies....

Good find tho! I will check my local CT, and don't even own a .22! ;)

Don't you mean "They walked me up to the counter with them in a bag and ring them in"? :p :D

must be your store only....i bought 2 boxes of Federal bulk at the CT in Niagara Falls last night and paid $28....I'd clean them out too if that happened to me

The thing that makes me mad is when the snot nosed kid at CT asks to see my "FAC." When I tell them that I don't have one, but I'd be happy to show my PAL, they look at me like I'm on drugs. I would think they should have to have their PAL too...

And this is why we need more police rules and regulations as the citizens are not able to regulate themselves in an honest way. Dude, you should't be bragging about taking advantage of someones mistake.

I have read this a few times over the last few years on CGN. It's definitely a scan of 50 instead of the brick.

A scan error is immediately what I thought, however that doesn't jive with the OP's statement -

"Needless to say I bought all them, and go to check the blazers, and lo and behold, they're $2.99 for 500. So i bought them all too."

That makes it sound like they were marked at $2.99 a brick and that I find hard to believe. Possibly a bit of story embelishment going on?

Yeah dude, ammo really costs 3.00 a brick.

You ripped off the store, period. Further to that, you KNEW you were ripping them off.

This makes them less likely to stock ammo in the future, and makes you an a**hole.

Enjoy your cheap ammo, maybe next you can scam a grandmother out of her grocery money and come here and gloat about it.

Come on, I'm a honest person and all but you really think CT is gonna take a hit from this little screw up?

I know people who worked in their financial departement and this is peanuts compared to the losses they take on credit card fraud and they still offer credit cards don't they.

If this was my local gunshop I would say something but like I said before I'm sure CT won't notice the loss.
