Canadian Tire Small Security Safe

I looked at that one and came to the conclusion after about 1 second that it was a POS... ended up going with the Sentry X075 for about $86 bucks from Walmart... very happy with it :)

Do you want easy access to your stored pistols, loaded mags, and no trigger lock? Then it seems like a great buy.

Very few consumer safes will prevent a determined thief from breaking into it.

Consumer safes benefit us in that they allow faster access to ammo & pistols.

Yeap, got one tucked into a bedroom corner. No problems so far.

Like ###XX says, a determined thief is gonna get into it or simply rip it out and be on his way

I looked at the CT safe in store as I was picking up something else one time. The display model was falling apart, as in the plastic piece with the numbers on it had come off. I would say spend a little more money on something of higher quality. Probably wont stop a thief either way but at least the numbers won't fall off.

Yup, That is why I went with the Sentry...

I was more worried about getting access to my gun when I needed it that people getting into it... and this safe didn't make me feel like I could rely on it... the sentry has good rubber buttons and the locking/unlocking mech works well...

i bought two and one of them I had bad luck with , the digital lock broke on mine, and the override key wouldnt unlock it... I ended up breaking into it, which wasnt hard, but then Canadian tire wouldnt give me a refund for it......... stick with sentry thats what i ended up going with afterward, and its been about 6 months now and it works great. the other one i got still works alright, but im waiting for it to go so i can replace it

Ok thanks for the help crappy tire didnt have it in stock for me to look at...

just ordered the Sentry Safe X075 from costco with free shipping cant beet that...

Thanks for the help. and dont worry I wont put my Para in there... I rather trust the safety of my family to my 1935 TT-33... At least I know the f**king mag wont blow out when I load it....

I have a very similar model but with a different name on it. Its just OK, but it only cost me $24 since the place I bought was clearing them out, regular price was $59 like CT.

So for $24, its fine but I would not pay much more for it, and I only use the key lock as I don't trust the combo lock at all.

Hey folks, any of you have this safe ? Im looking for a safe to store my handgun in my bedroom. With all the breakins in my town lately and Now my neigbhour. Its time to protect the children...

I bought one of the CT safes...

Long story short.... I traded it to my 10 year old for an old jr. T-ball bat.

It's now in the corner of my bedroom for home protection.

The real reason for this transaction was that the bat doesn't beep like a son-of-a-b!tch as a warning to any potential home invader.

The bonus is that I feel confident that I wouldn't have to think twice about using it to protect my family.... I KNOW that I could just pick it up and someone's going to see stars.

It's backup and partner in crime is one of these.

My house is zombie proofed enough for me to make it to the safe for the 12 guage with time enough to brew a cup o' Joe.

If your putting a safe by your bed for home protection then why cheap out on the safe. One day your life may depend on it. When seconds count and your fumbling around trying to get the safe open or looking for a potato to open it cuz the digital buttons don't work... it's seems silly to cheap out on something that could save your life...

On the other hand, For me personally every night before I go to bed I unlock the safe, and when I wake up I lock it.(again seconds count) However if one day you forget to unlock it before bed you still could risk a digital fail with this cheap ass safe...

Either way it doesn't seem worth the risk...
