well for the first time in my short life i can say canadian tire sells firearm or at least in the fredericton region the first time in at least 20 years. i guess with the destruction of the registry it makes it easier for them to do so. Now then when will walmart start selling firearms on this side of the border.

Its happening all over the place; Cdn Tire, Home Hardware. This will be the new thread of the week I think for the next while.

What once was, is again. Now to bring back the grab bins of cheap surplus Enfields for next to nothing each haha.

That's how it used to be. Woolco sold guns too! Funny how back in the day when there were more places openly selling guns there was a lot less gun related crime. I wonder where we acquired all those criminals.....?

our local CT's sell few longguns. they had a bunch but over the years slowly got out of it. for a few years now they only have had 2-3 (Charles Daily 3.5" pump 12g, charles daily .30-06, and had a Tika T3 .300WM?) my brother works at one of them in the tire shop and aparently last week he said something that they got in a few more but cant remembor what they are adn i havent had a chance yet to check them out.
a few years ago we went on a road trip to Kenora and we took a look around at their store. they have about 100 long guns, and im prety sure the fellow said they had a few pistols in the back room. we thought we wet to heaven when we entered the store. they also had a damn good ammo selection.

I can see bins of Mosins replacing what was once cheap Enfields. :D

Personally I'm looking forward to buying a rifle with Canadian Tire money. :D

A father son team have been selling guns at CT in the Red Deer south store and the Calgary McLeod south store. Good selection and willing to deal a bit.

Belleville, ON has had a full serve fully stocked gun shop for about 2 years now, inculding reloading.
A bit higher prices than the big stores but close by and convenient.

It would be great to have a sticky, compiled with a list of all the CT locations that carry firearms. I called my 2 local stores and they know nothing about this.

Indeed it would be handy but I suspect the paying dealers on this site would start to cry foul.
