Canadian use of M1 Carbine in Korea

I had ammo I'm pretty sure meant for the Ruger Blackhawk. Some half lead, half jacketed bullet. Min of barn, never cycled well. I always just stuck with 14.5grn H110 with pulled 110grn FMJs. 2.5 ish groups.

yes but FMJ is useless on deer, and that is what I wanted the M1 for, handy little semiauto truck gun for close work

One of my carbines fed that. The other didn't. My 110 gr soft point handloads worked well after a little fiddling with case length and coal. Don't think I'm ready to give mine up for the government yet. They're fun little rifles. Used to take them out anytime I was teaching women and kids, because they loved them. - dan

PMC and Genco made millions of rounds of 30 carbine
PMC was in 2000 round boxes FMJ
The German Border Police sold millions of rounds of genco when they surplused the carbines
They also surplused out special contract Walther MPL and MPK 9mm SMG’s at the same time. Safe Semi Auto. Military was safe auto

Was ammo I bought on clearance at The Gun Dealer. I have SP but kind of cannot test them anymore.

Considering getting a gun made to run all the 30 carbine ammo.
