No worries, I'm a fairly seasoned junkie, and go into this with eyes wide open as I have 3 AR15's.... so BRD has a hold on me.

I knew there was a reason I was holding off buying stuff lately, then I saw the package deal.

Good thing I was on days off when I saw the deal, cause I put in some looong 'shifts' on the computer researching the platform and tossing & turning till I pulled the trigger on the order.

308 / 7.62x51 with be a new caliber to my herd and this rifle+ammo deal was a real nice way to ease into it.... Wait a minute..didn't someone comment about 'gateway drug' :eek:

Oh well, now it looks like I'm going to chase the M1A/M305 dragon :eek: and lovin every minute of it! :D such a cool platform!

Pic's weren't even up yet and I had a Bassett mount on order.

Now I just can't decide weather to put my 1-4 short dot on her or the Mk4 4.5x14-40...hmmmm. I'd like to think with a bit of tweaking this could be a sweet shooter out to 600m.

What the heck eh? It's my only addiction :)

Huh, good to know. Just came across it while I was buying some mags for my eagerly awaited shorty. Figured I'd give one of those thermold type a try along with a couple steel ones.
 
A factory shorty dressed like this is gonna be my next project. The krieger medium 18.5 barrel is nice and all, but now we have a lighter , more budget conscious option with the canam shorties :D

dock can you bring a spare stock extra with you when you com up for hunting trip on Haida Gwaii will be picking up one of thous shortys on my way home
 
I ordered one last night after three-days of justification process. The conclusion is that this is necessary to prevent disasters for the world and personal well-beings as well.

It will be my first M14(305) that keeps me intact in a important way.

There are about 30 left seen on their website. The rifle/ammo combo sold out; the rifles are going fast as well, but still available.

I consider the rifle itself is a good deal with free shipping plus $1 to CSSA.
I will use it for hunting rifle on deer or something similar.
