CanAm or Marstar?

Is the finish better on the Dominion Arms than the Marstar CQ c|?

Finish *should* be the same. Marstar made a video about the CQA and said they are anodized and not painted like earlier models.
As far as everyone can tell they are made in the same factory, its just the brand name.

Does anyone not think the railed DA is worth the extra since its not free float? Marstar sells some cheap rails. Or is it better to just take whats offered?

I haven't ordered from Marstar but had a bad experience with Can Am and probably won't go back. Super super slow shipping time and ignorant when I called. Customer service is a lost art.

I ordered mine from Marstar and I`m very happy with the rifle. I had a bad experience with the DA556, but Canam have been very easy to deal with and easily got a refund. They are both great store, I would say it`s more if you prefer the Quad rail or not...

Yep. Same gun pretty much. Same price pretty much.

CanAm has a quad rail.

Marstar is roughly $30 cheaper all in.

Either way, my co-worker and I have plans to pick up inexpensive ARs in the very near future, and we spent part of the trip to a job site today discussing pros and cons to both.

What's your input?

Buy 1 from each, ya sissy :p:p:p

Bought the Marstar one, more than happy with exterior appearance (better than I expected actually from all the bad-mouthing that goes on for Norc's)..... haven't shot it yet cuz our gun club is still under 4-6 feet of snow and our President is kinda lazy ..... (actually he's not, but I enjoy hecklling him).

I mostly agree with you, but I generally don't expect terrific CS when shopping at high-volume low-margin retailers. It's a nice surprise when it happens. I assume that the savings come from somewhere.

For the record, I've had excellent "budget" customer service from both Marstar and CanAm. Not super speedy like you'd expect from Wolverine or SFRC, but reasonably competent and ultimately very fair.
