Canik TP9?

I have not shot the elite ones, but had a gray FSx with a vortex on it and it was a super nice gun, they where a hell of a buy while back. Longer barrel, , looks just like high priced gun
I just bought it for resale and to try the sight mount out, only thing, I found the sight mount screws a bit small.
I am use to a single action trigger , so I never shot enough to really get use to it ,but that was me and not the gun.
First guy that tried it out bought it on the spot with the sight, should have ordered more than one.
That reminds me, I need another 9mm.
Ganderlite, I had the eyes done a few yrs ago and I shoot better now than I did 40 yrs ago. you young whippersnapper, LOL.

Any one have the regular one and the elite, what the difference is?, other than price?

-machined firing pin (more durable)
-Salient designed flat trigger, sights, barrel
-optic ready
-magwell
-internals are polished at the factory

Thanks ,B.. the older ones are optic ready as well, so that is the same.
The only other one I ran into was at the out door range this summer and a new guy had the standard one, worked fine, till his front sight fell off.
We actually found it in the sand, but I loaned him a Jericho I had for a spare, now that is a gun that is underrated for the price I think as well.

Love my TP9SA. Accuracy and reliability are unbelievable. Got the tan coloured model as my "Brownface" gun.
The holster is pretty good, too, and despite my best attempts, I can't get the decocker to work when it shouldn't. Having said that, I'm not carrying the thing in a high stress situation.. Others may have more experience with this.
All round an awesome handgun at a really good price.

Check out the forum Canik Fanatik .Tons of information on them there .Parts are available for them from Century Arms in the U.S.,some Walther PPq parts fit also.
Originally purchased aTP9SA $299
Then a deal came to me for $240 for a SF elite
Then came the SF one series $279
Then another SF one series $289
Then a TP9 elite SC $429
And on Saturday at the Gunshow they had a TP9DA for $299
2 parts kits from gun joker
I guess you could say I am a fan !

I had the SF Elite but found the distance to the trigger was too long for my short finger. I could cheat a little and tilt my grip, but the square part of the beavertail would smack my thumb knuckle under recoil.

It’s a pretty damn good pistol for people with large hands though, I didn’t realize a striker fired pistol could have a trigger that good!

Congrats on your new purchase; you won't be sorry. Great trigger and the firearm is more accurate than I am.

I have a TP9SA in tan and I love it. I have never had a malfunction in probably 1500 rounds of brass cased ammunition, but she did choke up and give me a FTE when I tried to feed her steel cased 9x19 once.

My only (minor) complaint is that the finish is wearing from holster use, but I imagine that would be the case with any gun that isn't stainless. I haven't handled the other higher-end models but the TP9SA has everything I was looking for in a polymer pistol.

HELL YAH, fantastic gun !!

I have the SA and it's an excellent pistol for the price point. Similar in function to the Walther P99 AS.

There is a newer Mod 2 version available. Magazines are inexpensive. Get a set of Talon Grips.
