Canik TP9DA in Canada?

Looking at the Canik TP9 series for my first polymer pistol. I would be 100% sold on the TP9SA... if I didn't know that the TP9DA exists! What a beautiful and functional firearm. I have read that it is available in barrel lengths from 4" to 4.99" so I hope that means a threaded version might be coming to some Canadian vendor.

Anyone have thoughts on this?

I am new to pistol shooting but I would like to get involved in IPSC eventually. Excuse my ignorance, but what makes the tp9sa non-compliant (and what does that mean)?

If you go to the IPSC website you can find out which guns are approved for which division, and what mods if any are acceptable in that division. Canik is a fine pistol for IDPA
 
Love my TP9SA so much I bought a TP9Sfx...for any comps I may do. Surpasses the TP9SA and then some.
