Cannon Pics from Easter Rendezvous

Took these pics at the Skutz Falls Easter Rendezvous.If you look close you can see the cannonball, which is really an orange.

In this pic the orange is just about to hit the target at 9 o'clock

This one the orange is a blur about halfway to the target.

We have 6 BP clubs on Vancouver Island,each club hosts a rendezvous every long weekend ,plus we have a couple of one and two day shoots.Port Alberni is hosting a 10 day rendezvous from the 19th to the 28th of May, with numerous events such as, rb rifle trail walk, smoothbore trail walk, BPCR trail walk, pistol trail walk, tomahawk and knife trail walk each with 30 stations.Also RB silouette,a fort shoot,cannon event, mini cannons.
The big cannons shoot oranges at targets similiar to the ones in the pics.

How did you manage to find a time when it wasn't raining and in fact could almost be mistaken for subdued sunshine :>) :>)
Almost forgot; there are probably close to 20 orange cannons on the Island although not all of them come to any given event. Shoooters save the last 1/2" of the barrel as an orange guage when buying oranges. If other shoppers ask, just tell them your wife is fussy :>)

Are there any websites that go into the design detail? I would like to build a BP cannon in around the 1.5" bore size. I was thinking of a removable threaded breech plug and a fuse ignition.
