canoe moose hunt experience?

What about the Grumman canoes? Does anyone have much experience with them? I know they've been tried and tested wilderness boats for years, but they don't seem to have the same weight ratings as some of the newer companies/designs/materials.

I haven't ever hunted in an aluminum but they have three strikes against them

1) They are very noisy..like being inside a drum
2) The material sticks to rocks..many have a keel which is even worse in rough water
3) They transmit cold and are uncomfortable in cold water.

That said if I had one I'd use it.
