Anyone out there have any experience hunting/traveling along the canol heritage trail from the Yukon Borden to Norman Wells, NWT. I'm planning a trip there for August 2008 and am trying to do some research. Pm me or drop a line on this forum
 
Have a couple of buddies who did it while in the military unsupported in 15 days. Said it was awesome, but very hard to do it that time frame. A couple of big rivers to cross, no bridge! Showed me some pics, and it looked very nice!! Be sure to bring bear gun!! Be sure to let us know how it went!! Post some pics, and good luck, be safe, and have fun!!
 
I'm looking at seeing how far myself and some friends can get a few Land Rovers down the trail this Aug. Any hints on what is was like?

You can make it about 20 km past the airport at macmillian pass to the lodge. Past there you should be able to get another 25 kms then the river will be to big to cross and the trail deteriates to much to drive a large vehicle on.
