Has anyone dealt with Canpar deliveries in similar circumstances as mine?
I had to use my daughters address in town, due to my rural address.
What happens to the Ammo if she is not at home when they try to deliver at her address?

Here is their "Tracking Report" that has not changed since the 12th.

2015-03-12 02:44:06 -- Interline outbound -- Edmonton
2015-03-11 13:25:58 -- Arrival at Hub/Terminal from Bulk/City Trailer -- Calgary
2015-03-10 19:16:48 -- Arrival at Hub/Terminal from Bulk/City Trailer -- Vancouver
2015-03-10 18:18:19 -- Departing hub/terminal via linehaul -- Vancouver
2015-03-10 15:05:07 -- Pickup from customer/shipper -- Vancouver

Does "Interline Outbound-- Edmonton -- 02:44" mean it is between Calgary and Edmonton, or did it leave Edmonton on its final leg at 2:44 am?
Their nearest terminal is in Edmonton and I'm afraid of eventually having to drive 500 km to get my free delivery, if at all.

I feel like an expecting grand father, lol

Canpar is awful and should be avoided at all cost. I have never had them properly deliver a package. Thankfully I live in a small town so whatever random place they decide to drop my package at calls me up to come get it.

In fairness, I can'tut all the blame on Canpar as they pass their orders on to a 3rd party carrier to deliver to my area. Kindersley Transport to be exact.

I have only ever had ammo delivered and they were all Canpar deliveries. I live in the city and maybe I just have an easy address, but all my shipments have come through and on time. Canpar has a delivery notice to stick in the mailbox if you're not home. Usually sent out by email. Check your junk folder. All you have to do is print it off, sign it and if your not home tell them where to leave the package.

Canpar will make sure you get your ammo. They don't do monkey business like others!!! I have had Canpar delivered my ammo on time ordered from CanadaAmmo. They will leave a pickup notice if no ones at home. Also, they will try to re-schedule a delivery at your best convenient.

they left 4000 rd of 556 in front of my front door in Thunder Bay crates clearly marked as ammo when I wasn,t home who would get the unsafe storage charge?

We've done this dance before!!! A lot of whinning and it messe's it up for the rest of us. Canpar stops leaving anything at your door...

I just used them for the first time this week. Ordered a DA grizzly 12.5 inch 12ga from canadaammo I messed up my credit card info so I had to phone in payment on Wednesday. My package arrived at my doorstep Friday afternoon in Calgary. Pretty good experience for my first online firearms transaction.

They imporved recently. I guess something happened. Just couple weeks ago Canpar guy asked me for signature in three places, printed name and piece of ID. Then took a picture of the package as a proof of delivery. I cannot complain.

I as well had them leave a package for me without being home....actually I was on the other side if the county. Driver text me and said it was placed out of site on my back deck beside my BBQ. When I got home there it was as he said. Where it was placed was totally out of site and couldn't be seen unless someone was snooping around my yard. Maybe it depends on the driver.

I'm in the same boat, I live out of town, so I get them dropped at a friends house. What I do is get the shipper to put a note on the parcel to call me when they are getting close to town, so I can meet the driver.

I feel relieved to see the positive experiences, and fully expect it will show up now. I was concerned with it being my daughters house where if she is not at work, she is out with her horse.
Any way, guess I'm a bit excited to try my first non rim fire, a Zastava M85 7.62 x 39.
Went to the range yesterday with some Barnaul and no scope.
I learned that with its raised cheek rest it needs a scope. I bought a scope today, but due to the warm weather do not want to rut up the road to the range. Now I have to wait.....
Thanks again for the positive feed back.

I also live out of town and just print off the page from their website and sign it. Tape it to the front door, it has a section to tell them where to leave it.
Works great, never had an issue with them ever.

And that pass on comes with a healthy premium.. sometimes more than the initial fee to closest city.

When that happens, I ask to pickup at there depot because the sub carrier never delivers just drops off at nearest variety store.

I recently had a delivery from Wanstalls shipped through Canpar..I was able to download an authorization slip which included a barcode for the driver to scan.I just signed the slip with instructions where to leave the package.Everything went great....

Same thing happened to me last week when I had two packages delivered from Canada Ammo. All the times that Canpar has delivered something to my door have been smooth and by the numbers.
