Canpar Sucks

Canpar is more of a B2B service..

Lot of hick up arise when it is ship to residental.

Their Web tracking is delay, and dont even bother calling customer service, they don't exist :p

We use them for work, but rarely use it to ship to residential

I have to agree I get things delivered to my business address, and have not had any issues with Canpar delivering to my business address. However I read a lot of bad reviews about them and residential especially if you live out of the big city limits

Please not UPS... I have been trying to get some paperwork from them for over a week. Each time they say no problem within 24 hours you will get it or phone back, 7 calls later i still dont have it.

Canpar has been really good here, but a big part of that is the delivery guy has been great. UPS on the other hand, I usually have to play Where’s Waldo cause the driver just leaves the parcels anywhere in the damn building doesn’t matter who’s office.

Canpar has never been a problem for me. Normally get what I order a day or two after it is picked up. Canada post has been an issue for me. They’ve had a parcel of mine in transit for a month now.

We use Canpar daily for our shipping for 10 years now. Leaps, and bounds more reliable, and easier to deal with than Post/UPS, their Canship system is a little old and dated, but it still works. The issue that it boils down to is having the right driver, it can make or break your experience. Customer service was good, but had issues with volume during the holidays, probably back to normal now. Owned by TFI, and Transforce is buying out everything including UPS Freight more recently but they also own Loomis, so if packages are out of the service area it goes to Loomis drivers to deliver. Stay away from Fedex, they are utter crap and don't even offer same day pick ups on shipment unless it's express. Purolator isn't bad but owned by Canada Post. But if you stop using Canpar, basically that leaves you UPS.

I've made powder purchases in the past with canpar shipping and even though I work from home the 3 times they were supposed to deliver I never even had them knock on the door. Ive always been forced to go to their warehouse in burnaby to pick up whatever it was... Totally defeats the point of shipping something. And they outright lie saying they tried to deliver when in fact they didn't even come to the door, let alone knock on it.... Totally agree.. they suck a**...

They all have there pros and cons. CP really dropped the ball in the past few months. UPS and Canpar have been decent to me. Helps that I work across the street from the Depot. They just know to text me and I pick up.

Love Canpar... Never done me wrong in the last 10 years. Only company where the items show up when they say they will... Got a $1500 order from them today.

I ordered a box of one thousand primers from a large Vancouver store and chose Canpar delivery rather than spend two hours doing the round trip. Store was great, e-mailed tracking number and delivery information, delivery on Dec. 22. No show. I wait until after the holidays and contact the store, they offer to get info from Canpar, no luck. I track it and discover package WAS delivered on Dec. 22, to an Amazon fulfilment centre. I go into store with all the paperwork, talk to the shipper and manager, compare paperwork, they send me off with a new box of primers. I promise to return the old box if it shows up or let them know if I decide to keep it so they can charge me. Two days later, on Jan. 22, there is a single knock at my door and there it is, correctly addressed and all. I decided to keep them and let Italian Sporting Goods know I would pay for them. Kudos to Italian Sporting Goods and their staff and the “back o’ me hand” to Canpar.

My first experience with CanPar was great; shipped two parcels with clear addresses written on them in bold black marker. The CanPar employee switched the labels, some guy who ordered 9mm ammo received 8mm Mauser and the other vice versa...

I was not impressed, CanPar blamed me for a bit but ended up shipping both parcels to the correct addresses... that were clearly marked on the f'n boxes...

UPS is known as the united package smashers and the pay double broker fees so we can screw you over twice
they are the worst by far

Two days ago, I watched a ups guy dropped my 20 pound booster battery package from waist high without any hesitation. Fortunately the battery withstood the drop impact.

I agree. The worst shipping company out there. Tracking, doesn't work. Press what ever key to get a call back, doesn't work. Live chat, doesn't work. After an hour an a half of waiting to speak to someone. When I finally got through my fist question was " what is your average wait time" response " between 1 to 2 hours" Horrible!
