CANSOF IUR Clone thread

I want this thread back. Another pic of IUR’s in the wild, and a police C8 IUR that I got to fondle

Awesome. I wish we got the fully railed IURs and the Colt maple leaf marked lowers.

Also, I feel we need a thread dedicated to all CC/Diemaco clones!

We do get maple leaf marked lowers. Mine has it. I thought all of the CC lowers had the leaf????

EDIT: Thinking about it now, I assume you are referring to the Colt Canada "Colt" logo right?

Sorry I should have been more specific, yes I was referring to the "Colt" logo with the maple leaf, in place of the stylized "D" near the grip in your picture.

Very slick build by the way!

That definitely needs to be a thing!

I wish CC offered their lowers with all the various marking so we could build all the British/Dutch/Norwegian etc. Clones with the uppers they sell. I had a CC lower laser etched with British L119a1 markings, but the legit roll marks would give it that extra bit of authenticity I wanna see

As far as using one of the actual Allen Engineering collars, is it possible to use one with a standard 11.6" CC barrel taken off the MRR series? Haven't been able to see one in person but all the pictures I've seen seem to lack the proper step cut in the barrel for the collar to successfully interface.

Just wondering, I have the MRR 11.5" and the 10" SAS. If I pulled the barrel from the MRR, what would you guys put back in the MRR? As far as I could see the barrel threads on the 10" will be behind the end of the MRR chassis and I don't think that barrel would go into it to allow a muzzle brake to fit.

That’s exactly what I did, and you can actually get the 10” barrel in the MRR with no issues. It sits just slightly back from the end of the handguard so you’re not able to use the surefire trainer suppressor, but ordinary muzzle devices still work. Personally I’m not a fan of the look though...

Looking for one of the custom adapter/extenders made by ATRS and patterned from the ones produced by Allen Engineering. Sent ATRS an email to get on the notification list and they'll produce another small batch if the interest is there so touch base with them if you're in the same boat as I.

With that said, if anyone has a spare, shoot me a PM. Have a WTB ad up in the EE also.

Hell yeah brother looks good! Is that a 10.5 or 11.6? How does it shoot?

Thanks man! It's a CC 11.6 barrel. I've got a Geissele super 42 buffer with 3 tungsten weights and I think she's perfectly balanced and shoots super smooth. As for accuracy at 50 yards, I've had 1.5-2 inch groups with 55 gr American Eagle, and cloverleafs with 65 gr Hornady and 77 gr Gold Medal Match
