Canstar Arms Corporation. Now with PICS

considering that http://ww w.onlylongrange.com/badnews.asp lists the same semi auto 338 and bolt action 50 cal on their website im wondering if Canstar just has a license to produce these in Canada? not sure what the deal is.

The mail man arrived, Pardon the lousey pics...
I haven't had a chance to clean it yet. There is lint in the muzzle break. And some grease in some spots

Total over all length of 57"
Barrel is a full 34" plus muzzle break. Starts at 1.61" and ends at 1.51 at the muzzle. Rifling is very sharp and looks excellent.

Grip is a AR grip, so easier to change to a nicer one

Trigger is a timney
The finish is good on the barrel and receiver, Looks parkerized. While the bolt handle along with the back of the bolt is painted in a poor flat black. I will be polishing it off.

I would say it is a budget 50

Kick-eez recoil pad
I'll post more pics when i have more time.

Ya, I wouldn't be surprised if alot of there stuff is imported and then "finished" here... I seems very unlikely that they are manufacturing all of the things they are claiming to. Especially for a company that no one seems to have heard of until recently.

Looks like it's comming from former Yugoslavia, Serbia, Belgrade......wouldn't be a surprise

my guess, it's all imported, then finish machining and then assembly.......but not Made in Canada

999 for the 1911 kit...holy fukk. They do look nice though. Someone write a review when they get one, the finish on the .50 doesn't seem stellar to me, I hope it didn't transfer to their 1911 line too.
