cant deal with the "shottie" word.

Used by the same people who used and continue to use kewl.

If the term shottie offends you, well then, too bad. Lots of things offend me, that I can't do anything about. This is something that you cannot do anything about. In this section, our shotties, are mainly tools (toys) for our own enjoyment or competition, so we use less formality than some other sections might. As has been said earlier, check out the hunting and sporting shotgun section. You'll likely find enough closed minds there, to nod heads with, about how dumb we are over here.
Although I do prefer "Lawn Broom" to "Shottie."

I just have one quick question...if you despise the word so much, why do you use it in a post not that long ago?

Did you not read his thread opening post? This question is rhetorical; I know you didn't.
The OP is annoyed about people who just cant help themselves but to needlessly comment when someone uses the name "Shotty", rather than "Shotgun". OP has no issue with the word "Shotty" and just wants people to get off of their high horse.

Seriousely though I hate the term "pwned". Essentialy everyone will spell something wrong at some point. The difference is the frequencey of their mistakes. If every word is wrong you come off looking like a retard who should be nowhere near a gun. If there is one here or there.. well then, I for one an willing to look the other way.
Hmmm, prior to getting all grown up requesting respect, you may want to work on your spelling and punctuation and throw in the occasional upper case letter at the start of a sentence.

To the OP, I rarely use the word "shottie" myself. I say either shotgun, or "blaster" (My own name for shotgun )
If someone has a problem with you using the word "shottie", just remember it's their problem not yours so don't get your panties in a bunch.
Somewhat off topic:
My fiance has a lot of expensive name brand clothes that she takes great pride in. Like this belt she has made my Dolche and Gabana or something rather that cost her 200 bucks
I always refer to it in a rather lispy ### voice as the "Dolchy", this gets her very pissed and she always corrects me
