P99 for sure. Not that the glock isn't a good gun, but A: The grip angle is akward (for some anyway) where the P99 fits like a two year old pair of boots, and B: In 9mm the Walther is a joy to shoot, and stupid accurate. If you can *find* a last generation P99 (has a bump inside the trigger guard at the bottom), even better. Not sure why they changed them, but owning both I feel the older model is a bit better.

What a strange choice. Why choose between a glock and a walther. It dosn't make sense. Both guns have a 9mm and 40 cal gun so why would you like a walther 9mm but a glock 40? It would only seem logical to choose between a glock 17/22 or walther 9mm/40cal. The only real difference between these guns is the eurganomics. Dont worry about the garbage argument about stopping power. If your worried about that go with a .45 Both guns are very reliable so i would go with the walther as it has adjustable grips.

Price is the same and it's really good. However, I think I would go with Glock as I can get 5 mags with it.

PS. I have Sig 226 in 9mm and .40, I have 1911, I have Taurus 24/7, I have K100, Browning HP, Luger, Walter P38, TT-33 and few other handguns. So, it's not like it's the first gun to consider. Just a choice of one more for my "arsenal" (as some liberal media would call it... or probably "catch or stockpile")

glockster dude says go with a glock. Nuff said.

Ok, that was lame. Sorry.

I can't really say because I've never shot the walther. The best advice I can give is go to a range, shoot both and decide for yourself. I know an answer like this sucks, but its the truth.

Or you could just save yourself the trouble and go with the glock ;)

I vote Walther P99.

The P99 and G17 weigh the same amount but the P99 does seem to have a little more snap. Its not enough for it to be an issue at all though and is likely related to the barrel sitting a few mm higher then in the Glock. I think it also feels like it has a little more snap because the grip is smaller then on a Glock. My wife owns a G17 but much to her frustration she shoot my 9mm P99 better, as do I.
The P99 AS also has a wicked short and consistent trigger reset.

You do have to really want the Walther though if buying new, its 500 bucks more then a Glock which is tough to overlook.

The Generation 1 Walther P99 is a very sleek looking gun. The A/S trigger is phenomenally good...basically you can access a short SA and long SA mode...gun was very accurate.

A bit more prone to breakages vs. Glock or HK, also for a 15 round magazine, it was a little bigger than a Glock 19.

I recently sold my last Gen 1 P99 (owned 4 at one time) since I discovered HK.

Hope this helped make up your mind now!

Yeah, voted : Both of them, just make it happen somehow

But it's going to be really hard, so my steps are: get Glock first and if I manage with $$$, get Walter.

Current deal: Glock gen. III is $525 with 6 mags, Walter is $625 with 5 mags.
