Can't Decide - Sig P320, or Glock 17 Gen 5

Glad to hear!

You can't go wrong with a Sig. My Sig P226 seen over 6000rds (99% fired with my reloads) and it hasn't let me down one bit. Yes, I get a few stove pipes and ejection problems, but that's because of testing new powder loads. Once I dial in the recipe, it shoots and feels like factory ammo.

If you haven't tried a revolver yet, I would suggest to have at least one in your collection. My first one is a S&W 44 mag 6.5" stainless. Thanks to our buddy banning/freezing stuff, I purchased a S&W 500 magnum last week. When I see a S&W 357 pop up again in stores, I will get it too. I was going to pass on the 357 because there is really no need especially when I reload. But it would be so cool to own all 3 of the most famous magnums.

I considered grabbing a Walther PDP. Honestly, if they're still in stock in the next few weeks i'm going to grab one. My wife is mildy annoyed, so i'm going to let her become less annoyed before I grab another. I picked up a P226 Legion, and P320 XFULL in the last 48 hours.

Ellwood Epps has tons of PDP's in stock, I'm certain it will be available after a few weeks.

Looks like we both have the same goodies except that you have a much newer P226. Mine is just a regular P226 from around 2009. And again, enjoy! You can't go wrong with Sigs... Or glocks... IMO.

I just don't see a parts ban being a thing. Look at the AR ban, parts are still widely available.

The only time i see them putting a ban on parts like recoil springs etc, would be if they outright banned the pistols, and offered a mandatory buy back.

Just my thoughts on it.

They're still around for a couple of reasons. One being that no one is currently using OIC banned rifles, so replacement parts aren't really required. Nor is anyone upgrading the guns they're going to be forced to sell back. This is one of the many failures of the OIC that the Libs learned from. Which is why they introduced C21 as a bill and not an OIC. They're making it more encompassing as they overlooked an awful lot with the rush to do the OIC.

In terms of long term reliability, my opinion is that the Glock is the winner. The P320 has its hiccups. It's not the same as a P220 or P226. That said, I sold my Glock 17 because I just hated that trigger...

Meh, you can always get a new wife I can't say the same for a handgun in Canada. Unless you're a gangbanger.

Excuse my ignorance but I do not see any part the specifically mentions parts.

It was in one the big threads that was started when the news dropped. I'll try to find it to share.
In any case, I think this ban will kill more than a couple of businesses and a lot of future desire. Parts will inevitably become more scarce over time.

MOST arts are unregulated in MOST countries...and no serial # attached to MOST...MOST small parts to the untrained eye look like any other small parts...is it for a remote control car? A replacement part for my drill or is it a pin for an AR15 trigger group?!

MOST*** so people don't cry and complain that barrels and so on can be regulated and/or serialized.
